Smoked Buffalo Wings

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup hot pepper sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 12 wings (about 1 lb), tips removed

Instructions

  • Pre-heat your smoker to 325°F. While that is heating up, combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, and cook on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove sauce from heat and allow to cool to room temp. While the sauce cools, rinse the wings in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. When the grill hits 325°, place wings on grill grate, leaving space between the pieces. Close the lid, and cook for 15 min. After 15 mins, baste wings with cooled sauce, turn over wings, and baste other side. Repeat again in 15 minutes. Wings are done when internal temp reaches a minimum temp of 165°, which is approximately 45 min.
