- Chips and ChunksThe kiln dried process creates low moisture content for a very dry, hot burning chunk. This means it burns less to maintain your desired temperature, giving you more Chips + Chunks for your next barbecue and less ash to clean. No oils, chemicals or binders added mean better flavour and a more efficient burn. While not to be confused with hardwood pellets, Camp Chef Chips + Chunks are not to be dumped in the pellet grill hopper. Chips + Chunks are safe to use in all electric smokers, gas and charcoal grills with the addition of a Smoke Tube or Smoke Box (found on the XXL Pro and Woodwind Pro.) Some Electric Smokers may have a compatible chip tray.
